My watch is experiencing charging issues. What should I do?
It is possible that your watch may get stuck at a specific charge level that doesn’t change, even when the device is being charged. This can be fixed by restarting the watch and app. To perform a watch restart, press and hold the top button of the watch. A menu will appear with the options “Power off” and “Restart”. Tap on “Power off” and wait for the watch to fully power off to a blank screen – a vibration will occur when powering off. Once powered off, press and hold the top right button and another vibration will occur. Give the watch a moment to reboot until you see the home screen, which is bright red and says, “Tap to launch Study app”. Either tap on the red home screen or press the bottom watch button to launch the app. You will know you are running the app if the screen shows your participant ID, the time, and current charge level when tapped. My watch shows a green battery icon when I connect it to a charger, and I cannot see the MacM3 app. What should I do?
The green battery icon appears when the watch is powered off and connected to a charger:
To fix this, you have to power the watch on by pressing on the top right button until a vibration is felt. After the vibration, a “Ticwatch” logo should appear and the watch will begin its start-up process. Once the process is complete, tap on the red screen that says, “Tap to launch study app” to begin the app (more details are provided in your study package materials).
